Two WNBA playoff semifinals are on the schedule Friday, Oct. 9, with both series reaching Game 3. The New York Liberty welcome Atlanta to their home floor, though Atlanta is without an important player as guard Allisha Gray is ruled out with an injury. The Liberty are up in the series and play at home.

In the other semifinal, the Golden State Valkyries face the Las Vegas Aces. Golden State picked up a road win in Game 2 and now sits one win from a Finals berth. The Valkyries used their full roster to beat the Aces in Game 2, creating a pivotal Friday matchup on Friday.
