A French tourist from the Var region has died in Death Valley in the United States after his car broke down. The vehicle got stuck during an intense heatwave. The man walked away from his car and set off to seek help in the extreme heat. Temperatures soared to 47 degrees Celsius at the time.

He tragically died while attempting to reach help. The tourist was travelling through Death Valley when his car stopped working during the heatwave. He was from the Var area in France. He left his stuck car to find help in the 47 degree heat.
