Latest News About Montreal incident: Air Canada plane stops on grass, no casualties

A plane from Air Canada skidded off the taxiway at Montreal-Trudeau Airport on July 10. It touched down, and then moved onto the grass and came to rest beside the runway. Officials shut that strip down promptly. Nobody was injured in the mishap, despite how jarring it seemed.

That block halted takeoffs and landings for hours. Cleanup crews moved equipment to the area. Others inspected the runway for possible damage. Later that day, planes were taking off and landing again once the strip was back in service.
