Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is drawing fresh attention as a new film, The Social Reckoning, reaches cinemas and streamers. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film recreates her choice to expose Facebook's internal research.
Haugen told reporters she has "extreme worry" about a shift in values at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is pushing recklessly forward with AI. She said she hopes the film inspires others to act, telling The Verge she wants it to inspire more whistleblowers.
