Ed Harris complained early on about his limited part in the new show in Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spin-off. He thought the role was meaningless and demanded to quit. Harris told Variety, 'firmly Get me the f- out of here' as he threw his hands up. He later agreed to return for Season 2 to rejoin for the sequel. The show’s boss adjusted the plot and gave his character new responsibilities. That change led Harris choose to stay. Deadline now says he will reprise the role.
