World Space Week 2026 is under way from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," built around how falling launch costs could bring space within reach of more countries and organisations. Google celebrated the week with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit took part in activities linked to the week.
The European Space Agency joined forces with Pokemon GO to offer a time-limited Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also got involved with the event. World Space Week is the largest annual space event on Earth, celebrated in more than 90 countries.
