Toyota recalled more than 5,000 brand new vehicles. The problem involves a steering defect that could affect control. The recall covers three-row SUVs with a fault that might damage the cars before they even reach customers.
Additionally, nearly 250,000 Tundra V6 trucks were added to the recall. Pistons in the engines could fracture. Owners of some Tacoma pickups also reported cracks in the rear glass on hot days. Most warranty requests to fix the glass at extreme temperatures are rejected.
