A 22-year-old passenger was killed on Loop 1604 in San Antonio after a driver believed to have been drunk behind the wheel struck a pillar. San Antonio police were called to the North Side collision and found the driver intoxicated at the scene.

In a separate incident, an employee at a BBQ restaurant was stabbed in the arm and chest in what police characterized as a random attack near the front of the restaurant. The employee is in recovery after the attack.
