Tadej Pogačar secured the Stage 19 win on July 24. The Slovenian rider pushed the pace on Alpe d'Huez and rode clear of the rest. Only Richard Carapaz came within reach. Pogačar's group faced unwell team riders earlier in the stage but he remained fit. His lead bounced upward on the last climbs. Two days prior, Carapaz secured Stage 18 just seconds back.
