Latest News About Penarth town plan moves forward

Penarth was seen at a £20 million sheltered homes scheme to deliver a new extra-care facility for older people, with 70 affordable flats and on-site care. Work was due to start in summer 2024 and expected to take around two years. The scheme is a joint effort by Vale of Glamorgan Council and Wales & West Housing, with land leased to WWH and funding from the Housing with Care Fund and Welsh Government's Social Housing Grant. Adjacent plans improving highway access and 32 affordable independent homes on nearby land. This represents a significant step in helping to address concerns for Penarth.
