Tasmanian authorities have warned that crowds are "loving Neil to death" and could force the euthanasia of the 1,000kg seal if the crowd keeps crowding the animal on the coast.
Local reports say Neil's online fame brings harmful behaviour, including tipping kayaks and biting jet skis, after returning to land and bringing in hundreds of onlookers. Authorities are pleaded with the public to stay away.
