Bandai Namco unveiled the Mobile Suit Gundam RG model and the RG Project vision on July 23, 2026. Filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama will take the helm for the upcoming anime, planned to premiere in the following year. The project creates a brand-new Gundam universe, entirely distinct from prior canon. The XARX-ZERO is tied to the upcoming Gundam Rogue Orbit initiative. Kamiyama is working to construct a original timeline for the franchise.
