Toronto’s general manager John Chayka said the club is eyeing a transaction for Columbus defenseman Zach Werenski following the NHL Draft.
The Leafs have added a handful of prospects in the draft’s final round.
Chayka stated that teams are inquiring Columbus to gauge Werenski’s availability.
Rumors also tie goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to the club.
Chayka addressed the recent move of defenseman Brandon Carlo to St. Louis and noted that deadline pressures compel the club to act fast, reminding that the club must act quickly on all decisions.
