Iran states that the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked to commercial vessels. The waterway is currently closed. Iran and Oman are now arranging a deal for a protected sea lane. Oman called the talks constructive. At the same time, the United States is pausing extra penalties related to the conflict.
Iran also issued a blacklist for petroleum vessels in Gulf waters. This list creates fresh dangers for shipping oil across the region. Moving oil is hazardous now. Iran and Oman keep talking about maritime corridors. Even so, Iran reiterates that the Strait remains shut.
