An amateur skygazer using Google Maps stumbled upon a broad ring-shaped dent in northern Quebec. Specialists from Quebec’s geological survey verified it is a massive meteorite impact crater formed around 390 million years near Lake Mistassini. The terrain feature mirrors other confirmed craters and signals a violent prehistoric strike. Satellite images were compared in detail field data to substantiate the discovery.
