Eleven Edge Early Learning centres will close for good after administrators failed to attract buyers for the sites. Seven of the affected centres are in Queensland. The closures follow the collapse of the childcare provider, which has left families scrambling to secure alternative care arrangements.

Administrators managed to sell some centres in a fire sale, but the remaining 11 received no bids. Parents have been given little time to secure new placements for their children as the shutdown proceeds.
