Ed Husic, Australia’s Industry Minister, lamented Labour’s inner culture after his plan to permit a discussion on recognising Gaza failed to pass.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said described his remark at a gathering as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unbothered by criticism, declaring reporters: "put me in a ice box, I don't give a sh*t."
The dispute followed unsuccessful tries to push the party to formally recognise events in Gaza as genocide.
Internal papers and internal files were later filed that revealed serious rifts within Labour’s ranks over strategy and leadership.
