Members of Parliament have proposed changing the BBC's fee structure. They recommend reducing expenses and extending funding to include areas outside of television. MPs also suggest abolishing the BBC's charter renewal and preventing the broadcaster from undercutting commercial rivals for overseas shows. The proposals aim to solve the BBC's financial challenges as it faces a key turning point. The recommendations come amid persistent talks about the broadcaster's long-term strategy.
